Naiad by 4steex Naiad by 4steex
a little copy+paste from Wikipedia:
"In Greek mythology, the Naiads were a type of nymph (female spirit) who presided over fountains, wells, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of freshwater."

the face is inspired by the model Sasha Pivovarova, and I also used this stock as reference--> drezdany-stocks.deviantart.com…

tell me what u think...
and have a great weekend :)

Wow the details in this are wonderful! The way you did the water is especially lovely. I think if you made the lines on the naiad a little softer and less harsh it would create more flow and softness to go with the background, but very beautiful anyways :D

thank u for your lovely comment.
I agree that the backround dosen't totally complay with the figure but I believe it's more to color differences than soft or harsh lines (since I feel she is quite soft as I meant her to be- I hope I make sense :)), and that is defintly a consideration I MUST make in my next piece.
and thank u once again :)

Wow, this is gorgeous! I love the way you've painted her face and her hair. The reflections in the water are also quite nice. My only suggestions would be to add some more warm tones to her skin and slightly adjust the anatomy of her torso. Overall great work, it looks very finished and well developed :D

This looks so great! Your environment and the figure is so detailed! My only complaint is that the figure is so crisp that if feels a little set a part from the background. Maybe if you softened some of the edges it might create more unity! I could be way off so Im just throwing that out there. I always feel really uncomfortable trying to give criticism to someone whos way better than me lol

yeah I had the same feeling so I messed around with it alot- but I ended up liking this result the best....so I guess it's better luck next time for me (I think I need to build the color scheme when I first do the base colors).
and don't be uncomfortable, were here to improve!

I love your working, especially the way how you do REALISTIC face, big piece of "realistic painters" doesn't really think, that the face is not symmetric. In your pictures, there's really different levels in the face. And the eyes are different. You're doing amazing work! You need more glory. :)

LOVE this. So, SO much. It's got this almost vintage feel to it, and it looks very much like it could be a traditional painting, which I really respect.. I find that sometimes it's rather difficult and time consuming to make a digital painting look like a traditional painting, and this is so detailed and so beautiful. :worship:
